Gary Vick
Executive Director

Gary (Coach) Vick has over 30 years of basketball coaching experience at the amateur and professional levels. He formed a professional touring team in 1990 composed of former college and pro players. The team known as The Conoco Oilers/Atheletes First barnstormed throughout America playing elite college teams. He also toured Europe acting as a player representative looking to place players in the Europeon Pro League.

Looking to share his knowledge and life experiences of the game of basketball, he co-founded in 1999 Athletes First Foundation a youth organization designed to prepare young kids both physically and academically for the rigors of college basketball.

Since that time every player that has participated in the program has been offered a college scholorship. Athletes First’s athletes have been awarded $5,000,000 plus scholorship dollars from Universities throughout the country.

He currently serves as a managing partner for Proformance Sports II, a sports facility management firm.
